Thomas Helping Hand is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Hale County, Alabama, dedicated to leading the charge in community renewal and restoration by providing critical support and resources to families impacted by disaster, hardship, and crisis.

Our faith-led mission is brought to life through a wide range of direct services that meet both immediate and long-term needs. We believe that helping our neighbors rebuild—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—is at the heart of what it means to serve.

As part of our commitment to the people of West Alabama, Thomas Helping Hand offers:

• Disaster Relief & Emergency Support – Food, supplies, and financial assistance for families affected by tornadoes, fires, and severe flooding

• Community Restoration Projects – Organizing cleanup efforts and rebuilding damaged community infrastructure

• Safety & Preparedness Outreach – Distributing fire extinguishers and providing household safety tools to reduce risk

• Public Resource Maintenance – Maintaining and improving community assets like our grant-funded fitness track and emergency helipad (36AA)

• Direct Family Assistance – Offering help with transportation, housing needs, and basic essentials during times of crisis

• Communication & Awareness – Installing bulletin boards across neighborhoods to share important updates and connect residents with local resources
